FIGOS SPONSORS CLOTHES FOR OFFICERS, AND VOLUNTEERS OF LTDL

LUMPUR – The popular local sporting goods manufacturer,
Figos Sdn Bhd for the first time as joins as a sponsor for
the 15th edition of Le Tour de Langkawi 2010.
The Figos
sponsorship announcement which was held today at the LTdL
2010 Secretariat, Bukit Jalil, involves the value of RM41,000
worth of Figos merchandize which includes clothing, track-suit
and sports shoes.
In the
sponsorship agreement, Figos agreed to supply 38 sets of sports
shoes, 38 sets of track-suit, 120 pairs of clothing for invited
guests and officials of the secretariat and 600 pairs of t-shirt
for volunteers.
Figos
will also provide 80 banners that will be displayed at the
start and finish location, and also along the race routes
throughout the seven days, from 1 to 7 March.
Figos
Sdn Bhd Managing Director, Mr Tang Kok Wai in his speech,
expressed his gratitude to the LTdL organizer on their willingness
to accept Figos as part of LTdL’s 'big family' this
year. "Figos hope this sponsorship will first strengthen
the relationship between both parties and become a starting
point towards a more close collaboration in the future.”

recognized tour in Asia and hope that through this sponsorship
will be able to introduce more FIGOS brands to local communities,
especially along the routes used," said Mr Tang.
The Figos
brand is no longer foreign to local sports fans, especially
futsal and football because of the product quality equivalent
to other international brands, the price is also very reasonable.
Among
the goods produced includes futsal shoes, balls, jerseys,
sports bags and neoprene support equipment.
Meanwhile,
Mr Mohamed b Salleh, Chief Executive Officer LTDL 2010 said
"This year nearly 1,200 personnel including riders will
be in the LTDL 2010 entourage. This sponsorship from Figos
can reduce the financial burden for the organizer in providing
clothing to the LTDL 2010 personnel."
The
15th edition of the UCI (Hors Category) stage race will take
place from Kota Bharu - Kuala Berang (174.5km); Kuala Terengganu
- Chukai (182.3km); Pekan - Mersing (145.6km); Mersin-Parit
Sulong (163.5km); Muar - Port Dickson (111.5km) Putrajaya
- Genting Highlands (102.8km) and Kuala Kubu Baru - Dataran
Merdeka (133.7km), covering a total distance of 1013.9km.
A
total of 120 riders from 20 teams including two local teams
are expected to take part in the event, Le Tour de Langkawi
2010.
